Come check out what promises to be one of the biggest Jewish bashes of the year: Jewnity DC! With over a dozen DC Jewish organizations co-sponsoring the event (including Gather the Jews, of course), this event has something for everyone, no matter where they may fall on the Jewish spectrum.
GTJ’s own Jodi Tirengel was featured in the Washington Jewish Week to discuss this event. She notes that the advantage of Jewnity is that it is both comprehensive and laid back, with a “whatever works for you” mentality that allows people with different definitions of Judaism to be involved in Jewish life at their own comfort level. (For the full article about Jewnity, written by DC local Adam Kredo, click here.)
In addition to providing “ambassadors” from a range of different Jewish organizations, the Jewnity event will also feature live music from aspiring local Jewish musicians and an educational slide show displaying information about various Jewish groups in the area.
WHEN: Sunday, July 31, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: Public Bar, 1214 18th Street NW
