Tired of the old story of failed Middle East peace attempts and stalled negotiations, time and time again? Then come be provoked and inspired by Israeli and Palestinian young leaders at a FREE, half-day conference entitled “New Voices Imagining a New Future for the Middle East.”
WHERE: Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), The Nitze Building – 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Kenney Auditorium
WHEN: July 6, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
SAIS is partnering with the New Story Leadership program, an organization focused on broad-based and youth-oriented peace approaches. This conference aims to serve as a platform for young Palestinians and Israelis taking part in a cooperative summer program here in DC.
What’s so special about this conference? All the other major conferences in DC on the Middle East (e.g. AIPAC, J-Street, CMEP) feature the usual experts on these issues, but rarely, if at all, do they feature the younger voices who are from the region, and who are committed to make their futures there. This conference offers interested young professionals the opportunity to hear the experiences and insights of two Israeli and two Palestinian young leaders, as well as the insights of young leaders from Northern Ireland and South Africa.
The event will feature an extensive Q&A session with the audience at the end.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org with the title: SAIS CONFERENCE.
