Debate: U.S.-Israel relations. This Friday

Question: What will make this Friday’s Mesorah DC Shabbat service and dinner different from all others?

Answer: There will be an intense debate between David Zierler (State Department) and Noah Pollak (Emergency Committee For Israel) on the U.S.-Israel relation moderated by Michael Makovsky (Bipartisan Policy Center).

Having received a degree from the home of John J. Mearsheimer — co-author of The Israel Lobby — I never thought I’d want to hear this debate again.  But this is going to rock.  All three of these guys are champions.  (Full disclosure:  All three are friends, but I’m being serious when I say they rock!)

Please join.  Services start at 6:30.  Dinner starts at 7:45.  Debate should take place at 8:15.  Sixth & I Synagogue.  To RSVP, email

Email me ( with any questions you would like to see posed to the debaters.
